Medical Hair Loss I

Houston Lace Front Wigs is devoted to the needs of women experiencing medical hair loss and is committed to easing you through this transitional time with a world of beautiful, comfortable wig options. Please view our entire line of wigs online.

While all Houstonlacefrontwigs.com wigs are designed for the ultimate in comfort and security, different wigs have different features and benefits. Be sure to read about the benefits of specific Medical Hair Loss wig styles in the FAQ section as you begin your search for the style that’s right for you. We've collected helpful information on Chemotherapy Related Hair Loss and a listing of Medical Resources that we hope you will find useful as you learn more about medical hair loss and familiarize yourself with the options available.

Prior to treatment, you should spend some time becoming familiar with your options. For many women, wigs are the way to respond to hair loss, while others prefer hats, scarves or turbans – and some wear their baldness proudly. There’s no “right” option – just whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
The earlier you begin thinking about what you’d like to do, the smoother your transition will be.

THINGS TO DO NOW

•Review available product options and the range of style options, including wigs and hair pieces . The more comfortable you become with all the alternatives, the more likely you will find the perfect look for you.

•If you have long hair, consider cutting it into a short style. This way, the effect of hair loss is less dramatic.

•Snip and keep a lock of your own hair so that you have an actual color sample on hand. Also, take a snapshot of your hairstyle for future reference .

•You may want to select your wig style and color now, even if you don’t want to purchase it yet. Then, everything will be ready when you need it.

•Find out if your health insurance plan will cover the cost of a wig (which they call a “cranial prosthesis”), as well as the procedures for submitting your claim.

My Trendy Place now accepts most insurance. Please call us to discuss options, one of our staff members will be happy to help you.
